She was born in Raven, and was a daughter of Mrs. Margie Keene Dye of Raven and the late Mr. Roby Glen Dye. She was a devoted mother, sister and housewife; proud grandmother and great-grandmother and was a former employee of Clinch Valley Clinic Hospital housekeeping department. She had made her home in the Raven area most of her life and was of the Holiness faith. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Henry G. Horn; a stepson, Larry Horn; and two infant brothers, James and Willar Dye. Survivors in addition to her mother are four daughters, Mrs. Rocky (Pat) Horton of Raven, Mrs. Jimmy (Nellie) Maynard of Raven, Mrs. Ricky (Tammy) Boyd of Raven and Mrs. Donny (Margie) Dye of Richlands; two sons, Mr. Danny Elder of Raven and Mr. Bobby Elder of Richlands; one stepson, Mr. Perry Horn of Doran, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Judy Compton of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Flossie Hurt of Doran and Miss Velline Dye of Raven; three brothers, Mr. Frank Dye of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Mr. Junior (Mop) Dye of Raven and Mr. Danny Dye of Raven; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Bobbie Jo Horn of Drexel, N.C.; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with Pastor Paul Griffith and Pastor Randy Shields officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill. Pallbearers will be D.J. Stilwell, Jonathon Stilwell, Shannon Patrick, Chris Maynard, Bobby Elder Jr. and Bobby Compton Jr. Honorary pallbearers: Kenneth Boyd, Brandon Boyd, Denny Dye, Ricky Dye and A.W. "June" Horton.
