Lambert RAVEN, Va. -- Mrs. Kathleen Elizabeth Miller Lambert, 78, passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, in a Tazewell hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Russell County and was the daughter of the late Garnett B. and Cora Frances Horton Miller, both Russell County natives. She had made her home in the Raven area all of her life and was a former school teacher with the Russell County School System. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse W. Lambert; and two brothers, Kenneth and James Miller. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Linda Lambert) Campbell of Swords Creek, Va.; one sister, Ellen Martin of Pembroke, Va.; three grandchildren, David Jesse Campbell of Rosedale, Va., Robert Douglas Campbell of Rosedale and Katherine Elizabeth Campbell of the home; and one great-grandchild, Mitchell Campbell. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at 8 p.m. at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with the Rev. Less Ritchie officiating. Interment will follow Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va. Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday evening at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands.
