Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Chestnut Grove church, with the REV. M. E. N. LINDSAY in charge. Mr. Leffel was a life long resident of Shawver Mill, and before his illness was a school bus driver for the Tazewell county school board, and was also employed by Walker Chevrolet Sales. There survives his wife, formerly MISS DORA SHAWVER, sisters, MRS. OLLIE STOWERS, of Washington D. C.; MRS JOHN CAMERON of Rising Sun, Maryland; MRS. J. W. LAMBERT, of Saltville; MRS. MUSTARD PRUITT, of Shawvers Mill; MRS. C. W. ROLEN, of Grundy and MRS. T. W. CRABTREE, of Bluefield, Va.; four brothers, W. P. LEFFEL, of Gratton; J. B. LEFFEL, of Roanoke; L. A. and O. L LEFFEL, of Bluefield, West Virginia He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. [Craig O. Leffell, b. June 2, 1905, d. March 29, 1948, Dora E. Shawver, b. March 13, 1907].
