Lowe RICHLANDS -- Mr. James William Lowe, 38, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at his home. He was born in Tazewell County and was the son of Betty Sue Pruitt Lowe of Grovetown, Ga.,. and the late William Stuart Lowe. He had made his home in the Richlands area all of his life and was a custodian at the Claypool Hill Mall. He attended the Hill Creek Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to his mother, are one daughter, Jessica Renee Lowe of Bluefield, Va.; two sons, Joshua James William Lowe of Bluefield, Va., and James William Lowe Jr. of Jewell Ridge, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Janet Lester of Cedar Bluff, Mrs. Tina Short of Cedar Bluff and Mrs. Crystal Neal of Cedar Bluff; two brothers, Mr. William Stuart Lowe Jr. of Cedar Bluff and Mr. Tommy Wayne Lowe of Richlands; stepfather, Clarence Alvin Lowe of Grovetown; stepmother, Maggie Reynolds Lowe of Cedar Bluff; one stepsister; and four stepbrothers also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with the Rev. Bill Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow at the Reynolds Cemetery on Kents Ridge near Swords Creek, Va. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands.
