DEATHS:

MRS. MATHENA
MRS. NOAH MATHENA, died at her home at Tip Top Wednesday, following
several months illness.

MRS. MATHENA, was born at Falls Mills, September 28, 1898 and was the
daughter of MR . MRS JOSEPH PEAK, of Falls Mills. She was a member of
the Baptist church.

She married NOAH MATHENA in 1922, and to this union two children were
born, one which survives, Connie Senora, and a sister also survives, MRS
W.  _?_ . LEEDY, of Powhatan, W. Va.

Funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon and will be
in charge of
REV. E. W. DEAN, of Bluefield, Va., assisted by REV. H. H. PEAK, of
North Tazewell.

(Flora Catherine Peak, d/o Joseph Peak &  Jeanette Scott. Flora was
married to Noah Stephen Mathena, s/o Stephen Paris Mathena & Martha
Ellen Tabor. Martha Ellen Tabor was  a d/o James  Russell Tabor &
Martha Jane Havens. The other child, of Noah & Flora Mathena:  was
Bertha Ann Mathena, b. April 11 1937. Flora & Noah were married Nov 5,
1922 in Bristol, Sullivan Co., TN).
