DEATHS:

JOHN A. MATTHEWS
Tip Top, Oct 29, John Alexander Matthews, aged about 70, son of the late
WILLIAM  and KATIE MCCLURE MATTHEWS, died at his home on Mud Fork after
a lingering illness from heart trouble, last week.

He leaves his widow, who is a daughter of S. P.  and  MARTHA  MATHENA,
of Tip Top, and several sons and daughters, nearly all grown, and some
of whom are married and have families
(S. P Mathena-Stephen Paris Mathena , s/o John Wilson Mathena & Mary
Havens, S. P. Mathena’s wife was Martha Ellen Tabor, d/o James Russell
Tabor & Martha Jane Havens. MRS. J. A. MATTHEWS, IS A DAUGHTER, OF S. P
. & MARHTA, BUT I DO NOT HAVE HER IN MY RECORDS. IT COULD ALSO BE
ANOTHER MARRIAGE FOR ONE OF THE DAUGHTERS:
Mary Louvenia  Mathena m. William Benjamin Tate
Frances Jane Mathena m. a couisn, John Alexander ‘Alex’ Mathena
Nancy Ella ‘Nannie’ Mathena m. George Edward Barrett
