DEATH:
MRS. MATTHEWS DEAD
MRS. Eliza Sanders Mathews (sic), wife of LEWIS MATHEWS (sic), died last
Friday afternoon, after a lingering illness, at her home in Thompson
Valley. The burial took place on Sunday. MRS. MATHEWS (sic) was 32 years
of age, the mother of four children, three of whom, with the bereaved
husband, survive. After long suffering she sleeps well, beside her baby,
that died two weeks previous to her death.

MR. MATHEWS (sic) and his family have the sympathy of the community.
(The second wife of Lewis Matthews, s/o William R. Matthews & Nancy
Williams).
