Mr. Maxwell, was born near Pounding Mill and was a son of HENRY and ANN BAILEY MAXWELL, pioneers of Tazewell County. In 1900 he married MISS LOUISE LIDDLE, of Grundy who survives with seven children; MRS. MARY JOHNSON, MISSES JUNE and VIRGINIA MAXWELL, all of Grundy; GEORGE and BARNETT MAXWELL, of Crumpler, W. Va; MRS. HOWE WHEELER, of Crumpler, W. Va., and ,MRS. EARL STAFFORD , of Wise, Va.. There also survives one sister, MRS. W. K. MAXIE, of Pocahontas.
