McGlothlin Mrs. Freddie Addison McGlothlin, 91, of 1 Liberty Place, Bristol, Va., died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at a Bristol Tennessee hospital. She was born in Buchanan County and was a daughter of the late William Henry and Eva Phillips Addison, both Buchanan County natives. She had lived in Newport News, Va., for five years but had made her home in the Buchanan County area most of her life and was a member of Garden Creek United Methodist Church. She attended Hiwassee College and was a graduate of Radford State Teachers College. She was a retired teacher with the Buchanan County School System, teaching most of the time at Vansant Elementary School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Fullen T. McGlothlin; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors are one son, Mr. Larry McGlothlin of Newport News; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Dowis of Marengo, Ohio, and Ms. Irene Addison of Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother, Mr. Warren Addison of Opal, Va.; two grandchildren, Linda McGlothlin and Billy McGlothlin; and one great-grandson, Christopher Kneeland. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with Rev. Ancil Childress officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill. Pallbearers will be Donald Addison, Joe Addison, Perry Cook, Jim Cook, Jack Cook, Les Addison and Billy McGlothlin. Friends may call at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands at 11 a.m. Monday. Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands is in charge of arrangements.
