LETITIA PERRY Mrs. Letitia Perry, aged 81, died Tuesday, December 29 I(1942) n St. Luke's hospital, Bluefield (WV). Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Bluefield, Va., from the Perry home and interment was made in the Peery (Thomas B. Peery) cemetery near Five Oaks. Mrs. Peery was born in 1861 in Tazewell county, the daughter of B. F. and Emma Carter Macom and was the widow of the late Alexander Peery, who died in 1939. There survives one son, Richard Peery, of Bluefield , Va., one sister, Mrs. Mayme Faulkner of Five Oaks; one brother, John Macom of Pocahontas, and the following nieces and nephews, Mrs. B. L. Lazenby, of City point, Mrs. R. S. Ball, of Williamson, Mrs. John Repass, of McComas, Mrs. Dick Metcale, of Bluefield, Miss Ruth Macom, of Pocahontas, Mrs. Sam Milchin, of Richmond, Mrs. Grace Kenyon, of Syracuse, N. Y; Miss Ruth Faulkner of Five Oaks; Miss La Rue Faulkner, of Norfolk, Mrs. Nancy Carter, of Five Oaks, and John Macom, Jr., of Pocahontas [Letitia 'Lettie' Macom married Benjamin F. (Franklin?) 'B.F//Benjy' Macom about 1888, accoriding the 1900 Tazewell Co VA Census. B. F. Macon was the s/o John Macom. B. F. Macom was born in Nicholas Co., VA/WV, according to his marriage record of 25 Dec 1866 in Tazewell Co., VA when he married Luemma S. Carter who was a d/o Samuel & M. Carter. I found three sons for Alexander S. 'Alex' Peery & Letitia; William R. Peery, Eddie Peery (died very young), and John Richard Peery who served in W W I. The entire family, of Alex & Latetia Perry is buried at the Thomas B. Peery Cemetery at Five oaks, Tazewell Co., VA. Ruth Macom was a d/o John Macom , Sr., and is wife, Anna. Ruth Macom taught for many years at Graham High School at Bluefield, Tazewell Co., VA and I, Karen EAGLE Moman, was one of her lucky pupils. She was a much beloved teacher].
