FRANK PYOTT, well known Tazewell county physician, died suddenly at his home at Tip Top Monday evening. He suffered a heart attack early Monday, and died about 9 o’clock. So far as known he was in good health up to the time of his death. Funeral services were conducted at the home of his wife, the Blair Greever home at Five Oaks, Wednesday afternoon, and burial took place in Greever Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, formerly MISS CLARE GREEVER, of Five oaks; and these children; MRS W. G. MERRITT, of Vienna, Va.; B. B. PYOTT, of Princeton, MISS HELEN PYOTT , JOHN PYOTT, and ROBERT PYOTT, of Tip Top. One brother W.W. PYOTT , of Maryville, Tenn., also survives. The deceased was a son of the late W. W. PYOTT, a Methodist minister, who was once a presiding elder of the Tazewell district. DR. PYOTT’S passing has occasioned deep regret in Tip Top and Mud Fork community, where he has practiced medicine for several years. He was probably the last country doctor who responded to calls from the mountains and valley on horseback. (Dr. Francis ‘Frank’ Pyott was certainly a beloved county doctor. The family of Samuel Henry Shrader and his wife, Ocie Lee Tabor, loved this man. One of the daughters of Sam & Ocie Shrader, Frances Ocie Shrader was delivered by Dr. Francis Pyott and Frances Shrader was named in his honor. My mother, Hettie Marie Shrader-Eagle remembers Dr. Pyott riding his big beautiful horse to visit his patients). (Clare Greever Pyott was listed as St. Clair Pyott in the 1920 Tazewell Co., VA Census.. Her name is Jane St. Clair ‘Clare’ (Greever) Pyott - daughter of Blair Burwell Greever , 1840-1917 & Helen C. Jones. Dr. Francis ‘Frank’ Pyott, 1876-1936). 1920 TAZEWELL CO VA CENSUS S# 209, The Divides FRANK PYOTT. 45 .....St. Clair J. (sic), 38 .....Frances 15, (Mrs. W. G.
