Thomas Melvin Quesenberry, 1936 Melvin Quesenberry, 52, widely known farmer of the Richlands area, died at his home south of town Friday night, March 20, 1936, of complications following an operation four weeks ago. He returned to his home this week from the hospital with scant hope held for his recovery. Mr. Quesenberry was a son of the late Fred and Cynthia (Pack) Quesenberry, pioneer residents of the Pounding Mill section. He was a lifelong member of the Christian church and active in its work. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Harry, Vernon and Grat Quesenberry, and one daughter, Miss Mayola Quesenberry, all at home. Other survivors include the following brothers and sisters: Jim and George Quesenberry of Pounding Mill; Mrs. Bud Burress of Indian; Mrs. Martha Brewster, of Pounding Mill, and Mrs. E. F. Steele, of Bandy. Services will be held today at the Richlands Christian church by Rev. T. R. Doss, of Bluefield, assisted by the Rev. E. W. Hughes of Bluefield, Va.
