Obituary of Mrs. Joseph Russell - Tazewell Co. VA

     Mrs. Joseph Russell, 78, of the Bluefield - Tazewell Road died
Wednesday in a Bluefield Hospital following a long illness.
     Born in Tazewell County, Va., she was the former Hattie Perchie Lester,
daughter of the late James and Lula Elswick Lester.
     Survivors include her husband, Joseph Phillip Russell; two sons, E.
Smith Russell of Bluefield, Va., and B. Slemp Russell of Orlando, Fla.; one
daughter, Mrs. Edith Russell of Bluefield. Va.; seven grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Dudley
Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va., with Rev. Allen Crotty and Rev. H. Clay
Dunnaway officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens.
     Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
