Obituary of Betty Mae Shelton, 1989 - Tazewell Co. VA

Bank Official's Service Monday

Betty Mae Shelton, 52, of Claypool Hill, Va., died Friday at her home.
Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Bonnie Mae Ringley Smith.
She was a member of the Doran Wesleyan Church and was active in the work of the church serving 
as treasurer for a number of years. She was assistant vice president for Dominion Bank and 
assistant branch manager of the Vansant Branch of Dominion Bank.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Smith Jr.
Survivors: husband, Paris Shelton; brother Joe C. Smith of Grundy, Va., and several nieces and 
nephews.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Singleton Funeral Chapel in Cedar Bluff with the 
Rev. Scott W. Lockard officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Garden in 
Claypool Hill, Va.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
