MR. SHRADER,, who was an employee on the Fox farm for many years, liven in the east end of Burke’s garden and after finishing work Tuesday evening started home in his car, but due to the heavy storm which made the roads almost impassable, he abandoned the __?__ (car?) and started home on foot. It’s supposed that during the blizzard he perhaps lost his way and was overcome by the cold. His body was discovered sometime Wednesday morning not very far from his home. He is survived by his wife and two children. (I do not know the parents of this Sam Shrader but can only assume he is of the Henry Shrader, Sr., or Peter Shrader line, as most of the David Shrader, Sr., line did not live in the Burke’s Garden area of Tazewell Co., VA. Also, I am not certain any of the Peter Shrader line lived in the Burke’s Garden area).
