DEATHS
(Typed as written)

JOHN MASON SLADE, 63 years, of age, died at his home near Rocky Gap, Va.
April 19, from a heart attack. He had been in declining health for
several years.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the home on Clear Fork,
conducted by REV. CURTIS JONES, assisted by REV. LEE HILL. Interment was
made in the family cemetery.

Deceased was born on Clear Fork and was a son of JOHN W. SLADE and
AMELIA WALKER SLADE. He is survived by his wife , who before marriage
was  MISS MAGGIE JOHNSON, of Pounding Mill; one son, WILLIAM MASON
SLADE, of Princeton, W. Va., and the following daughters:
MRS. JIM HARMAN, of Wytheville
MRS. C. C. WALKER, of Bluefield, Va.
MRS. ARTHUR BAILEY, of Princeton, W. Va
MRS. RALPH HARMAN, of Elkton, Maryland
MRS. JOE RICHARDSON, of Rocky Gap
