Sparks NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. -- Miss Carol Janette Sparks, 30, of the Baptist Valley section, passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, in a Richlands hospital following a short illness. Born in Tazewell County, she was the daughter of Dallas A. and Iris E. Moore Sparks of North Tazewell. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by four brothers, Dallas B. Sparks and wife Doris of Burkes Garden, Va., James E. Sparks and wife Alice of Cedar Bluff, Va., Allen G. Sparks and wife Bernice of North Tazewell, and William A. Sparks and wife Christie of North Tazewell; two sisters, Joyce Necessary and husband Kirk of Tannersville, Va., and Jennifer K. Pennington and husband Gary of Gratton,Va.; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the residence with Elders Jimmy Moore and Jack Angles officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff from 6 until 9 p.m. Saturday. The body will be taken to the residence where friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family at Route 5, Box 139, North Tazewell, VA 24630. Singleton Funeral Service is serving the Sparks family.
