Stump RICHLANDS -- Mrs. Rosa Taylor Stump, 93, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, in a Tazewell hospital following a brief illness. Born at Honaker, she was the daughter of the late William and Melissa Taylor, both Honaker natives. She was a member of the Doran Wesleyan Church at Doran, Va., and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a retired cook with the Hill Top Drive Inn at Doran. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther C. Stump; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Stump is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Dixie Wolf of Richlands, Mrs. Carrie Burns and husband M.C. of Sandusky, Ohio, and Mrs. Shirley Peele and husband Cliff of Mt. Washington, Ky.; one son, Vernon Stump and wife Linda of Deland, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren. Two special care givers, Deborah Crenshaw and Anita Asbury also survive. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill, Va., with Pastor Jeff Switter and Mr. Paris Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shaw Honaker, Clyde Barrett, Claude Barrett, Stan Crenshaw, Bill Robinson, James Pruitt, Ron Richardson and J.U. Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Angela Harrison, Dr. Larry Mitchell, Lois Salyers, Martha Jackson, George Smith, Deborah Crenshaw and Anita Asbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Doran Wesleyan Church, 195 Bottom Road, Raven, VA 24639. The family will receive friends after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the cemetery mausoleum.
