TABOR OBITUARY YEAR IS 1956 ACCORDING TO AGE, NO DATE ON OBIT (NOTE: I HAVE TWO OBITUARIES FOR HIM, ONE POSSIBLY BLUEFIELD DAILY TELEGRAPH AND THE OTHER PROBABLY CLINCH VALLEY NEWS. CYRUS M. TABOR Funeral services for Cyrus Monroe Tabor, 88 of Falls Mills, Va., who died Thursday morning at Bluefield Sanitarium, will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m.m at the Falls Mills Methodist Church. The Rev. Richard Hamblin and the Rev. Carl Looney will officiate with burial in the Tabor-Harry Cemetery at Falls Mills. Mr. Tabor was a well known resident of Tazewell and Bland Counties, and a life-long member of the Methodist Church. He was born in 1868, at Falls Mills, a son of the late Thomas Edmond Tabor and Ann Parker Tabor. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Grace T. Tiller. of Huntington; two brothere, Hoge T. Tabor, of Athens, and T. E. Tabor, of Dublin, VA.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Luella French Tabor, and two sons, Diamond C. Tabor and Ray E. Tabor. Pallbearers are Ralph Kidd, Guy Kidd, Asa Rasnake, Clarence Starks, Kenner Kitts, Woodrow Gilpin, Willis Hawley, Snow Hudgins, A. C. Bruce and Sam Kidd. Honorary pallbearers are Slemp Kitts, Albert Kitts, Arnold Kitts, E.J. Meade, Henry Coburn, P. F. Shrader, Clayton Tabor, Robert Tabor, Carl Tabor, John Edd Brooks, William Wahner, George Waters, Jack Tiller, Billy Ray Tabor, Ray Thompson, James Thompson, Clyde Anderson, Graham Hedrick, Donald Tabor, Hoge T. Tabor Jr., Thomas E. Tabor, III, James Tabor, George Tabor, Parker Tabor and Tony Tabor. The body will remain at Wagner Funeral Home until one hour before services, when it will be taken to the church. OBITUARY OF E. W. TABOR NO DATE GIVEN E. W. TABOR Edward Tabor, 63, of Cliffield, Va., died Thursday in a Richlands, Va., hospital. He was a native of Pounding Mill, Va., son of Mrs. Mattie Lou Beavers Tabor of Cliffield and the late Herman C. Tabor. He was an Air Force vetera n of World War II and was employed by the government at Aberdeen, Md., at the time of his death. His mother is the lone survivor. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at the residence at Cliffield, with Rev. W. E. Mustard officiating and burial in Maple Hills Cemetery, Bluefield, Va. The body will be taken from Farmer Funeral Home in Richlands to the residence today. EDWARD GEORGE TABOR OBITUARY NO DATE GIVEN (There was an article on the other side written during the Vietnam war) EDWARD GEORGE TABOR Edward George Tabor, 73, of Abbs Valley, Va., died Wednesday in a Bluefield hospital following a long illness. Born in Thompson Valley, Va., he was the son of the late James Andres and Mary Jane Brooks Tabor. He was a former employee of Pocahontas Fuel co. and the McDowell Board of Education. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors are his wife, Lillian Adams Tabor; three sons, James A. Tabor of Bluefield, Steven E. Tabor and George Cecil Taboer, both of Abbs Valley; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Boone of Abbs Valley and Mrs. C. L. Persinger of Beckley; one step daughter, Mrs. Ronnie Milsap of Bluefield; one sister, Mrs. Ella Bowling of Daytona Beach, Fla.; one brother James A. Tabor Sr. of Bluefield; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Boissevain United Methodist Church with Rev. Avery Lynch and Rev. Ted Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens on the Bluefield-Tazewell Road. Nephews will be pallbearers. (Bud) Tabor, 64 of 157 Stockton St., Bluefield, Va., died Thursday in a Bluefield hospital after a short illness. Born in Tazewell County, he was a son of Mrs. Pearl Reynolds Tabor of Bluefield, Va., and the late Luther C. Tabor. He was a veteral of World War II and was a member of the Falls Mills Christian Church. Additional survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mabel R. (Susie) Harvey Tabor; three sisters, Mrs. Gay (Nell) Mullins of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Eldon (Mahalia) Husky of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Mrs. A. H. (Clarice) Baldwin of Bluefield, VA; one brother, Orrin K. Tabor of Bluefield, Va., one step-son, D. R. McDaniels of Clearfork, VA.; and one step-daughter, Mrs. Ledarnce Swaidner of Falls Mills, Va. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Falls Mills Christian Church with Rev. E. M. Belcher and Rick Mathena officiating. Burial will follow in Monte Vista Park Cemetery. FELIX TABOR OBITUARY NO DATE GIVEN (During WWII) FELIX TABOR Tomorrow at 2 p.m. funeral services will be conducted for Felix Ballard Tabor, 55 of Falls Mills, Va. He died yesterday morning at St. Luke's Hospital form injuries received when he was struck by a car on the Falls Mills Road last Thursday morning. Services will be at the Falls Mills Methodist Church with the Rev. E.L. Hayter officiating. Interment will be in Harry Cemetery, Valls Mills. Friends and neighbors will be flower bearers and pallbearers. Mr. Tabor is survived by his wife, Lou Tabor; one son, Felix Jr., at home; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bodenhamer and Mrs. Daisy Wilson, both of Portsmouth, Va., Mrs. Sam Edwards of Chambersburg, Pa., and Mrs. Nellie Dawson of Bluefield, and one brother Garnet Tabor with the U. S. Army in Japan. The body will remain at the Wagner-Hawkins Funeral Home in Bluefield, Va., until one hour prior to the funeral. HAROLD R. TABOR OBITUARY HAROLD R. TABOR Harold R. Tabor, 58 of 140 First St., Bluefield Va., died Monday night in a Bluefield hospital following a long illness. Born in Bluefield, he was the son of the late Beverly J. and Mary B. Lawson Tabor. He was an employee of the Norfolk & Western Railway and had worked for Lilly Building Supply Co. He was a member of the Falls Mills Christian Chruch. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bethel Anderson Tabor; three daughters, Mrs. Janet Mann of Monroe, Mich., Mrs. Dean Smith and Mrs. Regina Hicks, both of Salem, Va.; one son, Harold Tabor, Jr. of Bluefield, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Patrick of Lansing, Mich.; two brothers, James Tabor of Charlotte, N.C., and Fred Tabor of Bluefield, Va.; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Falls Mills Christian Church with Rev. David W. Prior offficiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens on the Bluefield-Tazewell Road. Friends may call at Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va., today form 7 until 9 p.m. WILLIAM A TABOR OBITUARY Wednesday Afternoon, October ?, 1941 (during WWII, Secretary of State was Hull) William A. Tabor William Alexander "Bec" Tabor, 85 of Virginia Avenue, Bluefield, VA., passed away at his home yesterday noon. He had been a resident of Bluefield Va., for the past 25 years. He was born August 1, 1856, at Mudfork in Tazewell county, the son of the late Jefferson and Sarah Tabor. He is survived by three sons and six daughters, Mack K. and Price, Bluefield, Va.; James of Spencer; Mrs. Ella Scott, Duhruy, W. Va.; Mrs. W. F. McDonald, Fort Pierce, Fla.; Mrs. Emma Lovell, Bluefield; Mrs. L. E. Willis, Mrs. W. T. Welles and Mrs. Ira Scott all of Roanoke. He is survived also by 32 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. His wife, the former Naomi J. Tabor, died March, 1938. Funeral service will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from West Graham Methodist church, of which the deceased was a charter member. The Rev. H. A. Phillips, will officiate. Interment will be in Maple Hill cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Ruble, E. B. Perdue, H. H. Gill, Z. B. Tabor, H. J. Havens, C. R. Neel, C. E. Kinzer, M. Helmandollar, L. T. Barrett. Flowerbearers will be members of Wesley Gleaner's Sunday school class.
