TABOR , aged 50, died Sunday morning in Bluefield sanitarium. She was the wife of a Norfolk and Western railway machinist and was a native of Thompson Valley, Tazewell County, being a daughter of the late Mr. and MRS. S. J. VERNON, of Bluefield, Va. Surviving are her husband and the following children: MRS. KATHLENE GAWTHROP, JAMES TABOR, PAUL TABOR and MISS GRETTA TABOR of Bluefield; brothers and sisters, J. E. VERNON, of Mullins, I. C.VERNON and ROBERT VERNON of West Graham: MRS. B. F. QUILLEN, Buefield, Va.; J. W. Vernon, St. Petersburg, Fla; MRS F. E. DEATON and MRS NANNIE BRITTEN, West Graham. Vernon & Melissa/ Evelina Stephenson Ada Mattie & James Tabor’s children were James Fesslor Tabor, Kathryn/Kathlene Tabor, James Vernon Tabor & Avon Gretta Tabor. I do NOT know the link of Mrs. F. E. Deaton’s husband to the larger Deaton families in the area). BEWARE: An earlier death record listed Ada Mattie (Vernon) Tabor’s death year as 1936! Perhaps I had read it wrong.
