DEATH
Submitted from Pounding Mill, Feb 7

The death of THOMAS TATE, formerly of this place, which took place at
the home of his son, William, last Sunday night, at Nemours, came as a
shock to his old neighbors and his friend here. He was 72 ye4ars old and
was an honest and upright man and a kind neighbor. Burial took place at
Nemours on Monday p. m.

[Thomas Tate’s son, William Benjamin Tate, married Mary Louvenia
Mathena, d/o Stephen Paris Mathena &  Martha Ellen Tabor who was the d/o
James Russell Tabor & Martha Jane Havens. A daughter of William B. Tate
&  Mary L. Mathena, Martha Elizabeth Tate, married William C. Shrader-I
do not know Willlim C. Shrader’s parents].
