Wagner Bluefield Daily Telegraph ( no date but he died January 30, 1947) H. C. Wagner, 57 of Charleston, died suddenly at Wilmington, Del, it was learned in a message received Friday by relatives here. The body is being brought to the Wagner-Hawkins Funeral home in Bluefield, Va. Funeral services will be held at the home of his brother, Taft J. Wagner, Mud Fork, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. W. S. Barbery of Iaeger, officiating, assisted by the Reb. W. H. Simpkins of Bluefield, Va. Mr. Wagner is survived by his wife, and a son, H. C. Wagner, jr., and a daughter, Miss Virginia, of Charleston; his father. A. S. Wagner, Newport News; four sisters, Mrs. W. R. Compton, Shawver's Mill; Mrs. C. R. Butt, Clearmont, Fla.; Mrs. W. R. Bowman, Boissevain; and Mrs. O. G. Davidson, Newport News; and four brothers, A. L. Wagner, Point Pleasant; Lewis J. Wagner, Montcalm; Ernest G. Wagner, Pocahontas; and Taft J. Wagner, Mud Fork. His mother preceded him in death two years ago. Pallbearers will be: S. T. McKinley, Denver; Adam, Jim, Dock, and Ralaigh Tabor, Oscar Wagner, Hess Perdue, Bobby Wagner. Grover Wagner, Charlie Walter, George and Jess Hedrick. Flowerbearers will be cousins.
