Wagner, 96, of Falls Mills, Va., died Tuesday at Fort Piedce, Fla., where he had made his winter hom with his daugher, Mrs. Oliver Davidson, for the past eight years. Seven children, other than Mrs. Davidson, also survice. They include A. L. Wagner of Montcalm, L. J. Wagner of Falls Mills, E. G. Wagner of Pocahontas, Va., Jeff J. Wagner of Falls Mills, Mrs. W. R. Compton of Bluefield, Va., Mrs. Sallie Bowman of Route 1, Bluefield, Va., and Mrs. Raymond Butt of Fort Pierce. The body will be brought to the Wagner Funeral Home, Bluefield, Va., Thursday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending arrival of relatives. A. S. Wagner Bluefield Daily Telegraph Friday February 6, 1959 (picture) Bluefield Daily Telegraph Funeral services for Adam Stafford Wagner, 96, of Falls Mills, VA., will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Macedonia Methodist Church at Mud Fork, where he had been a member of 80 years and Sunday School superintendent for 25 years. He died Tuesday at Fort Pierce, Fla., where he had made his winter home with his daughter, Mrs. Oliver Davidson, for the past eight years. He was preceded in death by his wife, six sons, and three daughters. Survivors, other than Mrs. Davidson, include three daughters, Mrs. W. R. Compton of Bluefield, Va., Mrs. C. R. Bowman of Route 1, Bluefield, Va., and Mrs. Raymond Butt, of Fort Pierce; four sons, L. J. and T. J. Wagner of Montcalm; 36 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. The body will remain at the Wagner Funeral Home, Bluefield, Va., until an hour before services. Burial will be in Wagner-Tabor Cemetery at Mud Fork, with Harman Masonic Lodge members in charge of graveside services. Pallbearers will be members of the Masonic Lodge, where he was a member, and flower bearers will be granddaughters and nieces.
