Will of Mary Cooper - 1860 In the name of God Amen I Mary Coopper of the County of Tazewell and state of Va. being of sound mind and disposing mind do make this to be my last will and testament as follows that is to say I desire that my body may be Buried at the direction of my executor herein named and I direct that all my Just debts be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as may be convenient. I wish my tract of land on which I now reside to be sold by my executor and the money to be equally divided between Roda P and Dicy S Lambert daughters of Joseph Lambert. It is my desire that Joseph Lambert should have the intrest on the proceeds of the sale of my land or rather a percent on the ---- ---- money untill the youngest daughter so ---- herein named shall arrive at Eighteen years [1877] of age at which time my executor will pay the amount due them over and in case either one should die before arriving at 18 years old it is my desire the other one should heir the whole amount and in case both of them should ---- ---- die then it is to be equally divided between George W and Isaac Lambert sons of Jos. Lambert, my house hold & kitchen furnishing I will and bequeath equally between Sarah L & Mary Jane, Rachel Matilda, Roda P & Dicy S Lambert daughters of Jos. Lambert. I will & bequeath to Percilla E Lambert, wife of Hiram Lambert all of clothing or wearing apparel & I hereby appoint Wm. M Bishop my executor to have full control and to carry out this my last will and testament. Witness my hand and seal this the 19th day of July 1860 Teste Mary Coopper Wm. M. Bishop James W. The last will and testament of Mary Coopper deceased was today probated in Court and proved by the oaths of William W. Bishop, James W. Cecil two surviving witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded And therefore on the motion of the said William M. Bishop the executor named in said Will together with A Findley and David Craft his sureties came in Court executed and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of One [four?] Thousand Dollars with condition according to law which bond was approved & received by the Court.
