Norfolk - Mrs. Virginia V. Brown, 80, of 916 East Newtown road died recently 
in Norfolk Community Hospital after a short illness.

The services were held in Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. C. K. Jones 
officiating.  Interment was held in Jones Memorial Cemetery with Jones Funeral 
Home in charge.

Mrs. Brown was a native of Princess Anne County and the daughter of the late 
John and Mrs. Mary Ida Breathwaite and the wife of Henry Brown.  She was a 
former member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and served on the usher board for 
over 25 years.

Her survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Consulla Hunter of Norfok, and Mrs. 
Gloria Jones of Baltimore;  five sons, James H. and Henry W. Brown of Norfolk, 
Fred R. and Roy M. Brown of Baltimore, and Percell Brown of Jersey City;  six 
sisters, Mrs. Mariah Boone, Mrs. Lucille Hardy, Mrs Eva Barbee, Mrs. Bessie 
Cason, Mrs. Ruth Jones of Norfolk, and Mrs. Blanche Diggs of NY;  two 
brothers, Anthony and Randolph Breathwaite of Virginia Beach;  and ten 
grandchildren.
