Caffee, 73, of 2455 Indian River road died in a hospital. A native of Virginia Beach, he was the husband of Mrs. Lucille Caffee and a son of James and Mrs. Mary Caffee. He was a Baptist and worked for a veterinarian. Surviving, besides his widow, are a son, William E. Caffee, and a daughter, Mrs. Willie Mae Johnson, both of Baltimore; a half brother, John Willie Banton, and a sister, Mrs. Burdie Hayes, both of Norfolk; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were held in Big Piney Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Howard Greir. Burial was in Jones Memorial Park with Hairston’s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
