Norfolk - Funeral services for Clarence Covell, of 859 E. Olney road, will be 
held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mother Church of God in Christ.  Bishop D. L. 
Williams will officiate.  Burial will be in Betty Jones Cemetery.  Hale Funeral 
Home will be in charge of arrangements.

A native of Scranton, NC, he was the son of the late Hayes and Mrs. Alice 
Covell.  He was a member of the Mother Church of God in Christ.

Surviving are two brothers, Hayes Covell and Charlie Covell of Scranton;  and 
six sisters, Mrs. Mary Bell Vaughn of Philadelphia, Mrs. Alice Campbell of 
Goldsboro, NC, Mrs. Lucy Campbell  of Scranton, Mrs. Mollie Pattie and Mrs. Macy 
Smith of Norfolk and Mrs. Blanche Jarvis of Belhaven, NC, two daughters, Mrs. 
Mabel C. Carrington of Brooklyn and Mrs. Ethel C. Cox of New York City.
