Norfolk Journal and Guide,July 24,1954
John Crump, 62, of 2310 Ruffin street, died July 13 at home following an 
illness of several days. Funeral rites were held at 2 p.m. July 16 at Hale's 
Funeral Home with the Rev. W. H. B. Walker, pastor of Second Calvary Baptist 
Church officiating.

Mr. Crump was a native of Hillsboro NC. He lived in Norfolk more than 50 
years. His wife, Mrs. Maggie Crump, survives. Burial was in Betty Jones 
Cemetery, Princess Anne County.
