Norfolk - A funeral service for Manuel Dailey Sr. of 880 Virginia Beach 
boulevard was held Sunday in Hale Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J. L. Kearney 
officiating.  Burial was in Betty Jones Cemetery.

A native of Lynnhaven, Mr. Dailey ws a son of the late Mell Dailey and Mrs. 
Julia Dailey.  He worked for Norfolk, Baltimore and Carolina Boat LIne.  He died 
Dec. 28 in a hospital after a short illness.

Surviving are one son, Manuel Dailey Jr., of New York;  two daughters, Miss 
Janice Dailey and Miss Audrey Dailey of Norfolk;  five brothers, Melvin Dailey, 
Mack Dailey, Morris Dailey, Leon Dailey and Richard Dailey, all of Virginia 
Beach, and three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Whitehurst and Miss Carrie Dailey of 
Virginia Beach and Mrs. Julia Whitehurst of Norfolk.
