Last rites for Mrs. Amelia Dickens of New York City were held at Garretts 
Temple, Nov. 6. The Rev. A. J. Askew, pastor, officiated.
Mrs. Dickens of 315 W. 116th street, New York City, died Oct. 31 in a New York 
hospital.

A native of Norfolk, Mrs.Dickens is survived by her mother, Mrs. Corine Lewis; 
husband, John Dickens Jr.; daughter, Miss Geneva A. Dickens; son, Vernon Lee 
Dickens; two brothers, Ernest Lewis and James Woodley, both of Norfolk.

Burial was in Betty Jones Cemetery, Princess Anne, with Morning Glory Funeral 
Home in charge.
