Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 25,1963
Norfolk - The Rev. David Eaton of 1096 Kane street, who died May 14 in a
Petersburg hospital, was given final rites Sunday at Zion Light Baptist Church.

The Rev. J. T. Jones officiated at the service.  Burial was in Betty Jones
Cemetery under direction of E. A. Hughes Funeral Home.

A native of North Carolina, Rev. Mr. Kane was a member of Oakwood Chapel Church.
 He was employed by Monsanto Chemical Company for 15 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Sarah Freeman of Norfolk, Mrs. Rebecca
Taylor of Hampton and Mrs. Henrietta Mason of New York;  Five sons, Leroy Eaton
of Maryland, Raymond, Sandy, Jerry and David Eaton of Norfolk;  A sister, Mrs.
Lolla Hayes of New York;  five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
