Virginia Beach - A funeral service for Mrs. Hattie Ford was held Tuesday in Mt.
Olive Baptist Church by the Rev. L. W. Chase, and burial was in Betty Jones
Cemetery. Hairston Funeral Home was in charge.

Mrs. Ford, of 1163 Old Virginia Beach road, died March 25 in a Norfolk nursing
home.

A native of Surry County, she was the widow of Robert Ford and a daughter of
John Brown and Mrs. Isabella Brown.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Wilson, and Mrs. Sarah Burford, and
a sister, Miss Amanda Brown, all of Virginia Beach; and 10 grandchildren.
