Virginian Pilot, Tuesday, Feb. 18,1969
Virginia Beach - Horace Cleveland Futrell Jr., 38, of 1809 Oceana Blvd, died
Monday at 4:30 a.m. in his home.

A native of Norfolk, he was a son of H. C. Futrell Sr.,  of Norfolk and Mrs.
Annie F. Woodhouse Futrell of Virginia Beach.

He lived here since 1934 and was a member of Nimmo Methodist Church.

Besides his  parents, surviving are two half brothers, J. Thomas Futrell of
Greensboro and Joseph H. Futrell of Buffalo, NY, and a half sister, Mrs. Walter
P. Copeland of Newtown Square, PA. 

The body was taken to Maestas Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Nimmo Methodist
Church by the Rev. Emory S. Ellmore, pastor, and the Rev. William B. Pittard Jr
of Fox Hall Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Nimmo Church cemetery.  The body
will be in the church at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The family will be at the home of Mrs. Sidney M. Askew of 411 Brackenridge Ave.,
Norfolk.
