Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - January 7, 2000 
Alita Ann Gorham, 24, of the 1900 block of Greenleaf Drive, died Jan. 1, 2000.
She was also affectionately known as ``Lee'' and ``Coco.''

Born in Norfolk, she graduated from Granby High School, Class of 1993, and was a
telemarketer.

She is survived by her fiance, Keith Smith Sr.; two daughters, Jymequa Page and
Nastacia Page; a son, Deon Smith; her mother, Linda Parks, and her father, Vann
Knight, all of Norfolk; three sisters, Tamika Heath of Norfolk, Natasha Parks of
Jacksonville, Fla., and Linda Michelle Parks of Norfolk; grandparents, Clara
Heath of Franklin, Emma Line Prines of Norfolk and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sumner of
Suffolk; her fiance's children, Keith Smith Jr. and Lakeisha Majette, both of
Norfolk; several aunts and great-aunts, including Debra of Rocky Mount, N.C.,
and Annie J. Harper of Suffolk; two special cousins, Kenneth Gorham of Capron,
Va., and Annette Shoulders of Norfolk; a special godmother, Michelle White of
Norfolk; two stepsisters, Linda Gibson and Vannisha Knight, both of Norfolk;
several uncles and great-uncles, including a devoted great-uncle, Charles Gorham
of Norfolk; a very special niece, Destiny; and a host of other relatives,
cousins and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Metropolitan Funeral Service,
Granby Street Chapel, by the Rev. Gregory Chapman. Burial will be in Betty Jones
Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Family and friends will assemble at noon Saturday
at 2737 Spruce St. for the procession.
