Norfolk - Funeral services for Thomas Hopkins, 13, of 2814 Pioneer avenue, were
held Saturday at Second Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. H. W. B. Walker
officiating.  Young Hopkins died June 6 in a local hospital after a short illness.

A native of Norfolk, he was a son of Charles and Mrs. Helen C. Hopkins.  He was
in the eighth  grade at Ruffner Junior High School.  He was a member of Second
Calvary  and a junior missionary.

Besides his parents, surviving are two brothers, Charles Hopkins and William
Hopkins of Norfolk;  maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Cotton of
Norfolk;  and paternal grandparents, Thomas Hopkins of Philadelphia, and Mrs.
Elizabeth Vaughan of New York.

Interment was in Jones Memorial Park with Hale Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.
