Norfolk Journal and Guide,May 1, 1976
Norfolk - Henry Jones of 912 Workwood Road, the husband of Mrs. Annie M. Jones 
and a native of Norfolk, died April 22 in a Baltimore hospital.

He worked for the Parks and Forestry department of the City of Norfolk 34 years. 
He was a Baptist.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Francis McCoy of New York; six sisters, 
Mrs. Margaret Newby, Miss Virginia Jones, Miss Roxanna Jones,Mrs. Geraldine 
Daniels, and Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson of Norfolk, and Miss Geneva Jones of 
Petersburg; two brothers, Willie Jones of Chesapeake and Lewis Jones of Norfolk; 
and a grandchild.

A funeral service was held April 25 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, 
by the Rev. C. D. Jones. Burial was in Jones Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, with 
Hale Funeral Home in charge.
