Joyner, of 2617 Mapleton avenue, died Feb. 6 in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness. A funeral service was held Thursday, Feb. 11, at Morning Star Church, with the Rev. G. L. Parker officiating. Burial was in Betty Jones Cemetery with Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Joyner, a naive of Franklin, had lived in Norfolk 38 years. She was a member of Bayside Women’s Club and Morning Star Baptist Church, where she was president of the Pastor’s Aid Society.
