Funeral services were held recently for John Kellam at St. Mark AME church,
Oceana with the pastor, the Rev. D. P. Felton, officiating.  Mr. Kellam died at
Kecoughtan hospital.

Mr. Kellam was formerly a member of First Baptist church, Lynnhaven.  He was a
life-long resident of Princess Anne County, Norfolk.

He is survived by seven sisters, Mrs. Agnes E. Ashe, Mrs. Margaret Penny, Mrs.
Maude Bridges, all of Norfolkl;  Miss Helen Kellam, Virginia Beach, VA;  Mrs.
Louise Minnis, New Rochelle, NY;  Mrs. Geneva Jones, Los Angeles, CA, and Mrs.
Hattie Lawrence of Los Angeles CA;  three brothers, William Kellam, and Harrison
Kellam, of Virginia Beach and Charlie Kellam of Jacksonville FL;  one aunt, Mrs.
Lydia Goffigan, Great Neck Village;  two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Emma and Luella
Kellam;  four brothers-in-law, and other relatives.  

Interment was in Betty Jones Cemetery.
