Virginian Pilot, Tuesday, July 16,1968
Mrs. Gladys Strawhand King, 52, of 1105 Candlewood Drive, Virginia Beach, a
Virginia Beach police clerk, died Monday in a hospital.  A native of Princess
Anne County, she was the wife of Herman L. King and a daughter of Mrs. Ida
Strawhand and the late William T. Strawhand.  She was a member of Beech Grove
Methodist Church.

Besides her husband and mother, surviving are a brother, Milton E. Strawhand of
Norfolk, and two sisters, Mrs. Freddie Capps and Mrs. Ethel George of Virginia
Beach.  The body was taken to Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home.  A funeral will be
held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Beech Grove Methodist Church.  Burial will be in
Nimmo Methodist Church cemetery.
