Norfolk Journal and Guide,Saturday,Sept 18,1943
Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Land, 53, 667 Goff street, who died at her home
on Sept. 7, were held at the Morning Star Baptist Church on September 12.  The
Rev. R. Parker officiated.  Mrs. Land had lived in this section 40 years. 
Surviving are three sons, two daughters, a sister, and three brothers.  Burial
was in Betty Jones Cemetery.
