Amos L. Lawrence Sr., 33, an employee of the Virginian Railway, died Jan. 11 
in a Norfolk hospital after a short illness. A native of Norfolk, Mr. 
Lawrence resided at 1505 Hockaday Drive. He was a member of the Civic League 
Club, Anderson Park, and of Calvary Church of God in Christ.

Funeral services were conducted at St. Stephen’s Church of God in Christ, 
Seatack, on Jan. 15, with burial in Saints At Rest Cemetery, Fitchett 
Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Alethia S. Lawrence Gray; wife, Mrs. Indiana 
Lawrence; son, Amos Lawrence Jr., tow daughters Gloria Jean and Lucy Pearl 
Lawrence, all of Norfolk.
