Virginia Beach - A funeral service will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at First
Baptist Church, Lynnhaven, for James A. McPherson, 53, of 248 Gimbert drive. He
died Nov. 4 at his home.

The Rev. M. R. Boone will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Betty
Jones Cemetery with Morning Glory Funeral Home handling arrangements.

A native of Princess Anne county, Mr. McPherson was a member of Mt. Zion AME
Church in Nimmo. He was employed by Princess Anne Marine and Bulkhead Company.

His survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth McPherson; three daughters, Mrs.
Dorothy Blount of Portsmouth, Mrs. Louise Little of Brooklyn and Miss Mable
McPherson of Virginia Beach; Mrs. Fannie McPherson of New York, Mrs. Louise
Rumph of New Jersey and Mrs. Queenie Toms of Brooklyn; and five grandchildren.
