Norfolk - Mrs. Ella Jane Patterson of 462 Nicholson St. died June 22 in a hospital.

A native of Elizabeth City NC, she was a daughter of Miles and Mrs. Ellen
Hollowell and the widow of William Patterson.

She is survived by two sons, Willis Overton and Simon Overton of Norfolk;  two
sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Snowden of Norfolk and Mrs. Hattie Butts of New Haven CT;
 a grandchild;  and two great-grandchildren.  

A funeral service was held June 28 in Riddick Funeral Chapel by Elder James
Lawrence.  Burial was in Jones Memorial Park.
