Norfolk Journal and Guide, Sep 5,1962
Mrs. Gertrude Simms, 60, of Route 1, Box 120, Bayside, was given final rites 
Sunday at Morning Star Baptist Church.

The Rev. G. L. Parker officiated at the service.  Burial was in Betty Jones 
Cemetery under direction of Morning Glory Funeral Home.

A native of Princess Anne County, Mrs. Simms was a member of Morning Star Church.  
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mahalie Coston of Bayside.
