Norfolk Journal and Guide, Jan. 15,1966
Norfolk - Althus Slappey, 51, of 1700 Brambleton avenue, who died Dec. 31 in a 
hospital, was given final rites Jan. 5 in Pentecostal Holiness Church.  The Rev. 
Beulah Dodson officiated.  Interment was in Betty Jones Cemetery with Morning 
Glory Funeral Home in charge.
The Norfolk native was a son of Mrs. Bessie Slappey and the late Charlie Slappey.
His mother is his only listed survivor.
