Norfolk Journal and Guide, Saturday, March 7,1970
Norfolk - Mrs. Macy C. Smith of 1314 Wall street died in a local hospital after
a long illness Feb. 27. Services for Mrs. Smith were conducted in St. Marks
Community Church. Bishop White officiated.

She was the widow of Edward Smith and a daughter of the late Haze and Mrs. Alice
Covil.

She was a missionary and member of Philadelphia Church of God in Christ.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dora Jones of Norfolk and Mrs. Mollie Swindell
of Bell Haven, NC, and three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Campbell of Scranton, NC, Miss
Maybell Vaughan of Philadelphia nad Mrs. Mollie Patty of Norfolk.

Interment was in Jones Memorial Park with Hale Funeral Home in charge.
