Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - December 25, 2007 
VIRGINIA BEACH - Dennis L. Sneed, 49, of the 3800 block of Governors Way, passed
away Dec. 20, 2007, in Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.

He was a native of Norfolk and a graduate of Bayside High School. He worked as a
car detailer at Car Spa.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Sneed; two stepdaughters, Cassandra Hawkins and
Kimberly Worley, both of Virginia Beach; two stepsons, Vonshea Hawkins and Fidel
Hawkins, both of Virginia Beach; his mother, Katie Sneed of Virginia Beach;
father, Joseph Sneed of Virginia Beach; a stepsister, Regina Williams; a
brother, Kenneth Sneed; five aunts; a great-aunt and great-uncle; eight
sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends, and his best friend, "Sheba."

A funeral will be held at noon Thursday in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 875 Baker
Road. Minister Joyce Martin will officiate. Interment will follow in Betty Jones
Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends for remembrance and
visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Beach Funeral Services Inc., 4456
Bonney Road, Virginia Beach. Special thanks to Dr. Burger and Dr. Policarpio and
the 4th floor nurses' staff of Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.
