Norfolk Journal and Guide, Nov 23,1957
Mrs. Ruth Turner, a native of Southampton County, died November 17 at the 
age of 30.  She lived at 319 E. 26th street.

Surviving her are her husband, Henry Turner;  father, Ish Banks;  three 
aunts, Mrs. Ora Bishop, Mrs. Carrie Candy, Baltimore, and Mrs. Sallie White, 
Jersey City, NJ.

Funeral services were held November 20 at 1 p.m. at King Funeral Chapel.  
Rev. E. Paul Simms, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiated.  Burial 
was in Betty Jones Cemetery.
