Clara Dell Whitehurst of 1210 Reservoir Ave. died Wednesday in a hospital.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Lynnhaven, its missionary circle, and
Siloam Tent 106.

Survivors include her husband, Clark Whitehurst; her mother, Penny Poyner; two
daughters, Luvenia Whitehurst and Elsie Whitehurst, both of Norfolk; four
grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church, Lynnhaven, by
the Rev. M. Lewis. Burial will be in Jones Memorial Park.

The family will be at 404 Southgate Ave. A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m.
today in Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel
