Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - May 6, 2008 
VIRGINIA BEACH - Lillian Virginia Williams, 85, of the 4100 block of Marblehead
Drive, died May 2, 2008. She was known as Lil, Momma, Ma, Grams, Granny and Nana.

Born in Princess Anne County, she was a farm worker for Hudgins Farm and a
member of Morning Star Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.

She was predeceased by two daughters, Shirley L. Williams and Lillian W.
Tinsley; mother, Annie Turner Land; father, Herman Sawyer; stepfather, Eddie
Land Sr.; four brothers, Baby John Land, Willie Jr. Land, William Leon Land and
John Walke.

Survivors include her daughter, Ella Louise Williams of Virginia Beach; two
sisters, Rosa Johnson of Virginia Beach, Annie Frances Clarke of Norfolk; two
brothers, Eddie Land Jr. and Walter Land (Mamie) of Virginia Beach; 10
grandchildren, David L. Williams, Melvin L. Williams (Ruby), Jessie Williams
Sr., Barbara Baker (Gregory Sr.), Charlie Williams, Terry Williams, Princess
Williams, Vanessa Tinsley, Marica Mills (Willie), Joyce Crim (Marcelous), all of
Virginia Beach; 11 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a
sister-in-law, Beulah L. Smith of Portsmouth.

She was the last surviving aunt of 27 nieces and nephews of her husband and a
had host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Morning Star Baptist Church,
Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Jones Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Community
Funeral Home, Norfolk, is in charge. Viewing will be today from 2 to 8 p.m.
